What is it:
This session will help participants understand the role and functions of the Address Supporting Organisation and important issues currently facing the addressing community.
Why it's important:
The policy issues related to the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 have an impact on many sectors of the Internet community. The Address Supporting Organisation represents the numeric Internet address community and has an important role in providing input to the ICANN Board on global address policy development.
Who should attend:
Anyone interested in numeric Internet resource policy and discussions, the Number Resource Organisation, and the Regional Internet Registries.

- Status of IPv4 consumption, projections, statistics
- Different views on the challenges of IPv4 exhaustion and transition to IPv6
- Status of policy discussion: a synthesis report
